Colis 500
Colis 500 is a water-soluble powder containing Colistin Sulphate, a potent polymyxin antibiotic that offers effective bactericidal action against Gram-negative bacteria such as E. coli, Salmonella spp., Shigella, and Clostridia. Colis 500 is specifically formulated to treat gastrointestinal (GI) infections, as Colistin is absorbed minimally in the intestines, making it ideal for treating enteric infections. It is commonly used in poultry, calves, sheep, and goats to manage bacterial enteritis and related conditions.
Each gram contains:
Colistin Sulphate – 5.00 MIU
Colis 500 is recommended for the treatment of:
Bacterial Enteritis
Diarrhea
Gastrointestinal (GI) infections caused by:
E. coli
Salmonella spp.
Shigella
Clostridial infections
Colis 500 works through the action of Colistin Sulphate, which is a polymyxin antibiotic with bactericidal properties. Poultry:
1 gm of Colis 500 per 10 liters of drinking water (DW), for 3-5 days
Or, 2-5 mg per kg body weight
Calf, Sheep & Goat:
0.2 gm per 10 kg body weight with milk or milk replacer for 3-5 days
