Macrodox

Macrodox is a water-soluble powder designed to combat bacterial infections in poultry and calves. Combining the power of Tylosin (a macrolide antibiotic) and Doxycycline (a tetracycline antibiotic), it provides broad-spectrum antimicrobial action. This formulation is highly effective against a range of infections, including Coryza, CRD, Coli-bacillosis, Mycoplasmosis, and other respiratory and gastrointestinal diseases in poultry and livestock.

Each gm contains:

  • Tylosin (as Tartrate): 200 mg

  • Doxycycline (as Hyclate): 250 mg

Macrodox is indicated for the treatment of infections in poultry and calves, caused by bacteria sensitive to Doxycycline and Tylosin, including:

  • Coryza

  • CRD (Chronic Respiratory Disease)

  • Coli-bacillosis

  • CCRD (Chronic Colibacillosis Respiratory Disease)

  • Mycoplasmosis

  • Synovitis

  • Fowl Cholera

  • ORT (Ocular Respiratory Tract infections)

  • Tylosin (as Tartrate): A macrolide antibiotic that targets and inhibits bacterial protein synthesis. It is particularly effective against respiratory infections like CRD, Coryza, and Mycoplasmosis.

  • Doxycycline (as Hyclate): A tetracycline antibiotic that works by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis. It is bacteriostatic, effective against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, and is particularly useful in treating a wide variety of bacterial infections.

The combined action of these antibiotics provides comprehensive coverage against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, treating both respiratory and gastrointestinal infections.

For Poultry:

  • 1 gm in 3-4 liters of drinking water for 3-5 days

For Calves:

  • 500 gm for 400 calves of 50 kg in drinking water or milk replacer for 3-5 days

  • Broad-spectrum activity: Combats both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria.

  • Dual antibiotic action: Combines macrolide and tetracycline antibiotics for enhanced effectiveness.

  • Effective for multiple diseases: Targets respiratory and gastrointestinal infections, such as CRD, Coryza, and Mycoplasmosis.

  • Suitable for poultry and livestock: Can be used for both poultry and calves, making it versatile for veterinary use.

  • Easy administration: Can be added to drinking water or milk replacer for ease of use.
