Pridox 50
Pridox 50 is a water-soluble powder formulated with Doxycycline Hyclate, a tetracycline antibiotic, designed to treat bacterial infections in poultry, calves, sheep, and goats. It is effective against a wide range of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, making it an ideal treatment for respiratory infections, enteritis, and other bacterial diseases.
Each gram contains:
Doxycycline Hyclate: 500 mg (equivalent to 450.30 mg doxycycline base)
Pridox 50 is indicated for the treatment of:
Respiratory infections
Chronic respiratory disease (CRD)
Chronic catarrhal respiratory disease (CCRD)
Enteritis caused by Salmonella
Fowl Cholera
Staphylococcus infections
Doxycycline belongs to the tetracycline group of antibiotics. It works by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis, making it bacteriostatic (stops bacteria from multiplying) against a wide variety of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. This allows the body’s immune system to fight off infections more effectively.
For Poultry:
1 gm per 2 liters of drinking water for 3-5 days
In Feed: 100 gm Pridox 50 Powder per 100 kg feed
For Calves, Sheep & Goats:
1 gm per 15 kg body weight
Administer in the morning and evening, then once daily for 3-5 days
