Primox 20 L.A.
Primox 20 LA is a long-acting antibiotic solution for the treatment of bacterial infections in livestock and poultry. Containing Amoxicillin as the active ingredient, it targets a broad range of bacterial infections, including mastitis, pneumonia, and infections of the respiratory and urogenital tracts. It also supports overall health by ensuring effective treatment and promoting animal productivity.
Each ml contains:
Amoxicillin Trihydrate (equivalent to Amoxicillin BP 200 mg)
Primox 20 is indicated in:
Poultry: Treatment of bacterial enteritis, pneumonia, and respiratory tract infections
Cattle, Sheep, Goats, Dogs, and Cats: Treatment of mastitis, metritis, pneumonia, cutaneous abscesses, and respiratory/urogenital infections
Amoxicillin is a bactericidal antibiotic that works by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis. It binds to penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs), causing cell lysis and death. It is effective against a broad range of Gram-positive and some Gram-negative bacteria.
Cattle, Sheep, Goats, Dogs, Cats:
1 mL per 13 kg body weight
By intramuscular (IM) or subcutaneous (SC) injection
Repeat after 48 hours if needed
Poultry:
0.2 mL per kg body weight
Broad-spectrum activity against Gram-positive and some Gram-negative bacteria
Rapid onset of action with bactericidal effect
Well-absorbed and widely distributed in body tissues
Effective for treating respiratory, gastrointestinal, urinary, and skin infections
