Tricid

Tricid is a water-soluble powder combining three active ingredients: Chlortetracycline, Neomycin, and Furaltadone. This potent antibiotic formulation is designed to combat both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacterial infections, effectively treating various respiratory and enteric diseases in poultry.

Each gram contains:

  • Chlortetracycline (Hydrochloride): 100 mg

  • Neomycin (Sulphate): 75 mg

  • Furaltadone (Hydrochloride): 30 mg

Tricid is indicated for the treatment of:

  • Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacterial infections

  • Coryza

  • Chronic Respiratory Disease (CRD)

  • Enteritis

  • Fowl Cholera

  • Other respiratory and enteric complications

  • Chlortetracycline: A tetracycline antibiotic, works by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis and is effective against a broad range of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria.

  • Neomycin: An aminoglycoside antibiotic, primarily effective against Gram-negative bacteria, used for treating diarrhea and dysentery.

  • Furaltadone: A nitrofuran antibiotic, effective against a wide range of enteric and respiratory infections, providing additional support in bacterial control.


Together, these ingredients provide comprehensive treatment for mixed infections in poultry.

For Poultry:

  • 1 gm per 1-2 liters of drinking water for 3-5 days

  • 1 gm per 5 kg body weight for 3-5 days

  • Broad-spectrum activity: Combats both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria.

  • Comprehensive treatment: Targets both enteric and respiratory bacterial infections.

  • Effective against multiple infections: Useful for treating conditions like Coryza, CRD, and Enteritis.
